Through meetings with our clients and partners in different European countries, it has become clear that there are many small home saunas for which it is not always easy to find a suitable heater.
In countries like Italy, Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg home saunas tend to be very small. This means that there is not a lot of space for a sauna heater. At the same time, the use of glass walls requires a more powerful heater. Then again, a more powerful heater usually needs to be placed further away from the walls due to its bigger safety distances, which can be difficult in a sauna room with a limited floor surface. In addition, a heater with a higher output might not be suitable for a home with a low current capacity. For example, in Italy and the Netherlands, there is a demand for compact sauna heaters with just a 3,5 kW output.
With this kind of saunas in mind, we started developing sauna heaters which would be powerful enough and at the same time take as little space as possible. As a result, we came out with two new electric sauna heater models.
CLIFF and STEEL. Both of them are designed by Mihkel Güsson and they have a lot in common.
What makes the biggest difference is that the safety distances of CLIFF and STEEL have been significantly reduced, which is the key to space-saving. This is achieved by optimizing the structure and placement of the internal air tunnel.
The models 3,5 kW and 6 kW can be placed 5-6 cm from the wall and models 9 kW and 10,5 kW 10-12 cm from the wall. It is also possible to purchase reflectors that allow reducing the safety distance of the 9 kW and 10,5 kW models from 10-12 cm to 5-6 cm.
